XSIO Industrial Parks to invest Rs 2,500 crore in Maharashtra, Nagpur to remain main hub
XSIO Industrial Parks will make an additional Rs 2,500 crore in FDI to build industrial parks across Maharashtra, with Nagpur staying its main base.
XSIO Industrial Parks has announced an additional foreign direct investment (FDI) of Rs 2,500 crore to build industrial parks across Maharashtra. The company said Nagpur will remain the main centre of its operations and growth even after this strategic expansion.
The investment was decided during the Invest Maharashtra summit, chaired by Chief Minister Fadnavis. A memorandum of understanding was signed with the state government at the summit, finalising the investment.
The company already has a large network in Nagpur district. It has Park One and Park One North on the Samruddhi Mahamarg, Park Two at Linga, and Park Shree Additional on NH-53, also known as Amravati Road. It also has a park in the Butibori MIDC and a logistics park within an in-city logistics park at Vardhaman Nagar.
With the new Rs 2,500 crore investment, the company will expand its presence in Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Khalapur, Palghar and Mumbai.
The company said the projects will meet the needs of precision and complex manufacturing, build-to-suit facilities, in-city logistics and modern warehousing. The programme as a whole is expected to create about 3,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Ashish Agarwal, managing director of XSIO Industrial Parks, said the additional Rs 2,500 crore investment marks a new chapter in the company's growth in Maharashtra.
Agarwal said the company has already made significant investments in Nagpur and Mumbai, and is now expanding into other strategic industrial markets such as Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Khalapur and Palghar.
Agarwal added that the company aims to build a world-class industrial ecosystem in which global and Indian companies can manufacture and grow at scale.
