A sensational case of the murder of a married woman has surfaced from Wakola in Mumbai's Santacruz area. Ruksana, 26, is alleged to have been killed and her body thrown into a creek near BKC. Police have arrested Mohammad Sartaj, while his son is absconding.

Police suspect the crime was committed because of the tension in the household caused by the husband's second marriage. Deputy Commissioner of Police Nimit Goel gave details of the case.

According to the information, Ruksana was the second wife of Saqib Siddiqui. Saqib's first wife is Sehreen, who is the daughter of the accused Mohammad Sartaj. Tension had persisted in the family after Saqib's second marriage. Against this background, police suspect that Sartaj and his son together conspired to kill Ruksana. However, the actual motive for the murder and the role of the other accused will become clear in the investigation.

The case began on September 28. When Saqib Siddiqui returned home that day as usual, Ruksana was not there. He searched for her but could not find her. Saqib then went to Wakola police station and filed a complaint that she was missing. On receiving the complaint, police began searching for Ruksana.

Meanwhile, the body of a woman was found in the creek near BKC. The investigation established that it was Ruksana's. After the body was identified, the case took a new turn and police began investigating it as a murder.

According to the police investigation, it is suspected that Ruksana was killed and her body then thrown into the creek. Mohammad Sartaj has been arrested in this connection. His son is said to be absconding. Police are searching for the absconding accused and are also collecting evidence related to the murder.

It is suspected that a woman lost her life in the family tension arising from the second marriage. Even so, the police investigation will be crucial in establishing the exact motive, the role of the accused and the sequence of events. Wakola police are conducting further investigation. More details of the case are expected once the absconding accused is arrested.
