A help room at Washim's fisheries office will guide applicants on the scheme, the application process and the documents required.
Washim, Nov 6: A Chief Minister Matsyasampada help room has been set up at the fisheries office in Washim to create new opportunities for employment and income through fish farming.
The facility has been started to give guidance on the scheme, the application process and the required documents. Assistant Commissioner of Fisheries Priyanka Zod has appealed to fishermen, small fish sellers, farmers, young people and citizens of the district to make use of it.
Taking up fish farming as a subsidiary occupation alongside agriculture can give farmers an additional source of income. It can also create opportunities for rural youth to start their own livelihood. Fisheries cooperative societies, women's self-help groups and people wishing to enter the sector can also benefit from the government's schemes.
Under the Chief Minister Matsyasampada Yojana, eligible beneficiaries can receive various facilities and subsidies as per government rules. Those interested must apply online after going through the information available on the MahaDBT 2.0 portal. Before applying, it is necessary to learn the scheme's eligibility criteria, the required documents and the subsidy conditions.
The room will help in resolving difficulties in applying and in getting guidance related to the fishing business. Zod has appealed to as many eligible beneficiaries in the district as possible to contact the room, take advantage of the schemes and achieve economic progress through fisheries.
