Warangal pandal recreates Supreme Court with Ganesha as judge, video goes viral
An eco-friendly Ganeshotsav pandal in Warangal styled as the Supreme Court, with the idol in judge's attire, has drawn crowds and mixed reactions online.
As Ganeshotsav is celebrated across the country, elaborately themed pandals are once again drawing attention from devotees and on the internet. Photos and videos of different Ganpati pandals have been going viral on social media in recent days, with some devotees decorating the idol with currency notes and others fashioning a Ganesha idol out of pani puri shells. In this vein, a pandal decorated as a court, with the idol presented as a judge, is now being widely liked online.
The unique pandal's exterior resembles the Supreme Court. Devotees entering the pandal get a feel of stepping into an actual courtroom. The viral video shows the pandal decorated entirely as a court from the outside, with the idol of Lord Ganesha dressed in a judge's attire. The idol, seated on a chair in judicial robes, is unlike anything seen before. In one hand it holds a judge's gavel, and in the other, the scales of justice.
The pandal also had a complete setup resembling cages for lawyers, police and witnesses. In the background, chants of "Yato Dharmastato Jayah" and verses related to justice were also inscribed. Mooshakraj, Ganesha's mouse, is seen standing beside the idol. The entire pandal is said to have been built using eco-friendly materials. The unique pandal is trending widely online, and devotees are arriving in large numbers to see the "Nyay Ganpati".
ANI shared a video of this unique Ganesh pandal on its official X account. The post said that this eco-friendly "Nyayamurti Ganpati" pandal, themed on the Supreme Court, in Warangal, Telangana, is attracting devotees, and is a unique blend of faith and creativity carrying a message of environmental awareness. The video was posted on September 20, 2026, and has so far received 23,500 views, with several users sharing their opinions in the comments.
One user wrote, "Do not disrespect the deity like this." Another user wrote, "Bappa will say, let me remain as I am." Another user questioned, "But is it necessary to do all this with Ganpati? He looks good in his simple form."
