Vivo launches X500 series in China with three flagship phones
Vivo has launched the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China, its new premium flagship lineup with strong cameras and big batteries.
Tech company Vivo has launched its new X500 series in China. The series includes three models: Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max. All three smartphones have been launched in the premium range.
On pricing, the Vivo X500's 12GB RAM plus 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 5,499, about Rs 79,000. The 12GB plus 512GB variant costs CNY 5,999, about Rs 86,000, and the 12GB plus 1TB variant costs CNY 6,999, about Rs 1,00,000.
The Vivo X500 Pro's 12GB plus 256GB variant is priced at CNY 6,499, about Rs 93,000. The 12GB plus 512GB variant costs CNY 7,499, about Rs 1,07,000, and the 12GB plus 1TB variant costs CNY 8,499, about Rs 1,22,000.
The series' top model, the Vivo X500 Pro Max, has its 12GB plus 256GB variant priced at CNY 6,999, about Rs 1,00,000. The 12GB plus 512GB variant is priced at CNY 7,999, about Rs 1,14,000, the 16GB plus 512GB variant at CNY 8,499, about Rs 1,22,000, and the 12GB plus 1TB variant at CNY 8,999, about Rs 1,29,000.
Sales of the Vivo X500 Pro Max and Vivo X500 will begin in China from September 24, while sales of the Vivo X500 Pro will begin from September 29. The X500 will be available in Dawn, Echoes of the Earth, Night Photography and Sunny colour options, while the X500 Pro series will be available in Sunset and Dawn shades.
On specifications, the Vivo X500 has a 6.59 inch 1.5K (1,260 x 2,750 pixel) AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. It has HDR support and an IP68 plus IP69 rating. The phone comes with a 3nm octa core MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset, G1 Ultra GPU, V3+ Blueprint imaging chip, up to 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
On the camera front, it has a triple rear camera setup: a 50 megapixel (f/1.68) primary camera, a 50 megapixel (f/2.0) ultrawide camera and a 64 megapixel (f/2.55) periscope telephoto camera supporting 3.1x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The selfie camera is 50 megapixels (f/2.0). The battery is 7,500mAh with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging support. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, 5G, 4G LTE, GPS, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
The Vivo X500 Pro has a 6.36 inch 1.5K (1,216 x 2,660 pixel) AMOLED display, while the X500 Pro Max has a 6.85 inch 2K (1,440 x 3,168 pixel) AMOLED display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate and 507 ppi pixel density. Both phones come with a flagship grade MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset built on a 2nm process with a peak clock speed of 4.55GHz. They have a Mali G2 Ultra NX GPU, V3+ and VS1 Blueprint image chips, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Both have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Both phones have a triple rear camera setup with a 50 megapixel primary camera and a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera. The X500 Pro has a 64 megapixel (f/2.52) periscope telephoto camera, while the Pro Max has a 200 megapixel (f/2.67) telephoto sensor. Both have a 50 megapixel front camera. On battery, the X500 Pro has a 6,510mAh battery and the Vivo X500 Pro Max has an 8,000mAh battery.
