The Union Public Service Commission has invited applications for direct recruitment to various central government departments. The recruitment has been notified under advertisement number 12/2026 and covers a total of 13 posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through UPSC's online application portal. The last date to apply is October 16.

According to the notification, the posts include Junior Technical Officer, Assistant Legislative Counsel, Law Officer and Specialist Grade-2 (Junior Scale). These posts will be filled for different central departments and institutions.

The National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, has one post of Junior Technical Officer (Sugar Technology). The Legislative Department under the Ministry of Law and Justice has notified 8 posts of Assistant Legislative Counsel (Grade-4). The Land and Building Department of the Delhi government has 3 posts of Law Officer, and the New Delhi Municipal Council has one post of Specialist Grade-2 (Junior Scale), Cardiology. In all, 13 posts are to be filled.

Candidates should check their eligibility before applying, as the educational qualifications, age limit and experience requirements differ for each post. Candidates are advised to check UPSC's website carefully for eligibility before applying. The Commission has advised candidates to use their Aadhaar card as identity proof.

Women candidates, along with candidates from the SC, ST and PwBD categories, are exempted from the application fee. All other eligible candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 25. This fee can be paid through the online mode specified by the Commission.

Candidates who wish to apply can fill the form on UPSC's online application portal. All the information sought at the time of application must be filled in and the necessary documents uploaded. Before submitting the form, candidates should ensure that they meet all the eligibility conditions for the post they are applying for, so that they are considered eligible for it.
