A row over garbage thrown in front of a house turned violent in Nagpur, leaving two brothers with head injuries and a two-wheeler damaged.
Nagpur: A minor argument over garbage thrown in front of a house turned violent, with angry neighbours attacking two brothers with sticks and seriously injuring them. The accused also damaged a two-wheeler. The incident took place in Rajiv Nagar, under the MIDC police station limits.
Ashok Verma lives in Rajiv Nagar, and the family of Ravindra Prasad lives next door. On the morning of November 5, Verma was cleaning his house when garbage was thrown down from the upper floor of the neighbouring house. The wind blew the garbage into Verma's house. Verma's wife asked Ravindra Prasad not to throw garbage, and an argument began.
Ravindra Prasad began hurling abuse. Verma and his sons Aman and Abhishek tried to calm him down, but the quarrel escalated instead of subsiding.
Ravindra Prasad, Aniruddh Prasad, Dharmendra Prasad and Harsh Prasad then attacked Aman and Abhishek with sticks. Both brothers suffered head injuries. The accused also vandalised Ashok Verma's two-wheeler.
On a complaint, MIDC police have registered a case of assault and vandalism against members of the Prasad family and begun an investigation.
