Man slaps another inside Nagpur DCP's cabin during meeting on earlier complaint; case registered

A shocking incident has come to light at the office of Rushikesh Singareddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone 1, in Nagpur. A man allegedly slapped another inside the DCP's cabin. Pratap Nagar police have registered a case against the accused, Aniket Dawle.

According to police, the incident took place when Pramod Gorkhede was called to the DCP's office for preventive action. About two months ago, Dawle had filed a non-cognisable (NC) complaint against Gorkhede at the MIDC police station.

In his complaint, Dawle had alleged that Gorkhede abused him. Under the preventive action, Gorkhede had been called to execute a bond to keep the peace. Dawle, as the complainant, was also summoned so that the quarrel could be settled and the matter would not escalate.

However, during the meeting in the DCP's cabin, Dawle allegedly slapped Gorkhede. The incident is reported to have been caught on CCTV cameras installed inside the office.

Confirming the incident, DCP Singareddy said both men had been called to his office in connection with the earlier NC complaint. He confirmed that Dawle allegedly assaulted Gorkhede inside the cabin and that a case has since been registered against him.
