TV actor Ishwar Thakur battling serious illness, family appeals for financial help

Actor Ishwar Thakur, known for his comedy roles on television, is currently battling a serious illness. Thakur, who has appeared in popular shows such as FIR and Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain, is in a critical condition and admitted to a hospital in Thane. His family has appealed for financial help for his further treatment.

The 54 year old actor's health suddenly deteriorated a few days ago. His sister said he is currently not responding well to treatment. He is being treated in hospital for a serious kidney related problem.

According to his sister Jayashree, his health troubles began in 2020, when he injured his leg. Thakur has diabetes, because of which the injury did not heal properly. Jayashree said the wound then became infected and the infection gradually spread through his body.

Jayashree said Thakur's condition worsened further a few days ago, after which the family immediately took him to the hospital in Thane. There has been no significant improvement in his health since then.

The family has so far spent all its savings on Thakur's treatment, but continuing his treatment is becoming difficult for them. This is why the family has appealed to people for financial help.

Jayashree said, "Ishwar is my elder brother. This all started in 2020, three months before the Covid lockdown, with an injury to his leg. He has diabetes, so the injury did not heal, and now the infection has spread through his entire body."

She added, "Two-three days ago his condition worsened further and we took him to hospital. There has been no improvement in his health since then. We have spent whatever money we had on his treatment, but it is now becoming difficult for us to afford it. So we need help."

Jayashree said Thakur has been dealing with health problems for several years. His initial health issues had also affected his liver, though his sister clarified that he had recovered from that. Thakur has built a distinct identity on Hindi television through his comic roles, and news of his current health has caused concern among his fans.
