After gaining weight, people try various methods to lose it. Some change their diet, while others turn to supplements and pills available in the market. But repeatedly taking supplements and pills increases the risk of serious illnesses in the body as one grows older. This is why following the right diet is considered very important while losing weight.

People often skip breakfast altogether out of fear of gaining weight. But following the wrong diet increases fatigue and weakness in the body instead of reducing weight. This is why breakfast should consist of healthy, easily digestible food. Here is an easy recipe for a tasty, spongy dhokla made from a bowl of ragi flour, which tastes delicious.

To make the dhokla, you need ragi flour, oil, semolina (rava), curd, water, ginger-green chilli paste, Eno fruit salt, mustard seeds, white sesame seeds, curry leaves and grated fresh coconut.

Here is the method. First, mix ragi flour, semolina, curd and salt to taste well in a large bowl. Add water to the mixture if needed, but make sure there are no lumps in the flour, otherwise the dhokla will not turn out soft. Cover the prepared batter and let it rest for fifteen to twenty minutes. After that, add the ginger-chilli paste and Eno, and mix the batter thoroughly.

Grease a plate with oil, pour in the batter and steam it. Let the dhokla steam for fifteen to twenty minutes. Once cooked, take it out and let it cool. To prepare the tempering, heat oil in a bowl and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and green chillies, and saute. Pour this tempering over the prepared dhokla.

Finally, sprinkle grated fresh coconut and finely chopped coriander leaves over the dhokla and cut it into pieces. This is how an easy, healthy and tasty ragi flour dhokla is ready.
