Thousands of jobs open at UPSC, Railways, CRPF and PMBI; application dates announced
UPSC, the Railway Recruitment Board, CRPF and PMBI have announced vacancies open to 12th-pass candidates, graduates and engineers.
There is good news for young people preparing for government jobs. UPSC, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB), the CRPF and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) have announced recruitment to various posts. Experienced candidates as well as those who have passed Class 12, graduates and holders of engineering degrees can apply.
Applications have already begun for some posts, while registration for others will open later. Candidates should therefore choose a recruitment drive according to their eligibility and complete their applications as early as possible, without waiting for the last date.
First, the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027, a good opportunity for young people who have completed their engineering studies. The commission has issued a notification for a total of 480 posts in civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics and telecommunication engineering. The application process began on September 16, 2026, and the last date is today, October 6, 2026. The preliminary examination will be held on January 31, 2027, and the mains on June 18, 2027. Selection will be through the preliminary examination, mains and an interview.
PMBI has invited applications for contract posts. A total of 178 posts will be filled under Advertisement No. 02/2026, including pharmacist, executive, senior executive and assistant manager. Applications are offline and the fee is Rs 100. Candidates must fill in the prescribed form and send it to "CEO, PMBI, New Delhi". The last date for submission is October 15, 2026, up to 5 pm.
For young people with sporting talent, the CRPF has announced recruitment under the sports quota. There are 521 posts in all, for head constable (general duty) and constable (general duty). Online applications will begin at 9 am on October 12, 2026. The last date for submitting the application and fee is November 11, 2026, up to 11.59 pm. Corrections to applications can be made between November 12 and 14. Eligible sportspersons who meet the prescribed sport and eligibility conditions can apply.
The Railway Recruitment Board has announced recruitment under the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for graduate and undergraduate candidates. The posts are 2,750 goods train manager, 56 chief commercial-cum-ticket supervisor, 300 junior accounts assistant-cum-typist and 371 senior clerk-cum-typist. The last date to apply for these posts is November 6, 2026. For candidates who have passed Class 12, 1,688 undergraduate posts will be filled, and online applications can be submitted between October 15 and November 13, 2026. In all, the Railways has more than 5,165 posts on offer.
