Steps Karate Championship 2026 concludes in Nagpur
The one-day event was organised by Steps Karate Club with Mitsuya Kai Hayashi Ha Shito Ryu Karate Do India, drawing students, coaches, referees and parents.
The Steps Karate Championship 2026 concluded successfully in Nagpur. It was organised by Steps Karate Club together with Mitsuya Kai Hayashi Ha Shito Ryu Karate Do India. Students, coaches, referees and parents took part with great enthusiasm in the day-long event.
The championship was inaugurated jointly by several guests. They included Dr Kashif Syed, head of AZCOR and Prolife and a cardiologist; Dr Sumera Khan, a paediatrician and neonatologist; corporator Shailesh Pande; and Fauzia and Aafaq Faizi of Sunshine Solar. Also present at the inauguration were Mirza Arif Baig of Babbu's Galaxy and his wife, RJ Nisha of MY FM, Bharti Naidu, centre head of Steps Play School, and Manisha Kadwe, centre head of KGNPS.
Some more guests attended during the day. They included Dr Mohammad Faizan, head of the spine department at MAX Hospital, and Dr Ahmed Sajjad Khan, Dean III Cell at Anjuman College of Engineering and Technology.
Dr Shazia Khan, organising president and founder director of the event, welcomed the guests and the participants. The proceedings were conducted by Hanshi Dr Zakir S. Khan, chief technical director for India, while organising secretary Shihan Shahwar Khan coordinated the entire championship.
A prize distribution was held at the end, in which winning players were honoured for their performance.
The championship gave young karate players a chance to show their skills. It also gave them valuable experience of competitive bouts.
