Mumbai's Maharashtra State Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department is holding a special job fair for women on September 29, 2026, at SNDT Women's University in Churchgate, as part of its "Pandit Deendayal Rozgar Mahakumbh" drive.

The fair aims to give women different employment opportunities, connect them directly with industries and companies, provide information on government skill development and self-employment schemes, and guide them on apprenticeships, self-employment and job opportunities abroad.

Sunil Pawar, Assistant Commissioner of District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Professor Hemlata Bagla (holding additional charge), and the Vice Chancellor of SNDT Women's University have appealed to as many women candidates from Mumbai as possible to register for the fair.

Employers from the service and production sectors in and around Mumbai city will get a chance to directly select skilled manpower according to their needs through this fair. Eligible women candidates who have passed 10th, 12th, graduation, postgraduation, ITI, diploma or hold other professional skills can take part in the fair and training. Interested candidates have been asked to complete pre-registration as soon as possible through the given online form link.

The job fair will be inaugurated online across the state by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The official details of the fair are as follows: date September 29, 2026, time from 9 am, venue SNDT Women's University campus, Churchgate. Eligibility includes candidates who have passed 10th, 12th, graduation, postgraduation, ITI, diploma holders and all other eligible women candidates.

A total of 30 stalls will be set up at the fair for the convenience of women candidates. More than 20 reputed companies and organisations from different sectors will offer employment opportunities to women through direct interviews. Five major government corporations will also take part in the fair to make women financially self-reliant, providing direct information on self-employment opportunities, various government schemes, loan facilities and other initiatives for women. Special stalls providing information on various skill development training schemes and employment-related initiatives will also be available.

A separate stall is also planned at the fair to provide candidates direct employment opportunities in Japan, where guidance will be given on apprenticeships, self-employment and job opportunities abroad.

The District Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Centre, Mumbai city, has appealed to all employers and unemployed women in Mumbai city to make the most of this "Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rozgar Mahakumbh" fair in large numbers.
