Skoda has readied the facelift of its Slavia sedan for the Indian market. The updated car will be officially launched in India on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Production has already begun at the company's Chakan plant in Pune.

The Skoda Slavia facelift was unveiled in India last month. The company will now launch it officially on October 6, 2026. The new Slavia will come in six trims: Classic, Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo.

Bookings are open. Customers can book the updated sedan by paying Rs 15,000. The company is likely to announce the delivery start date at the launch.

The current Slavia is priced between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelift has major changes inside and out, so the new car is likely to cost more than the current model. Official prices and mileage figures for the facelift have not yet been announced.

On design, Skoda has kept the basic silhouette of the Slavia but made several changes to give it a fresh look. The new Slavia has updated LED headlamps, and the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned. At the rear are updated tail-lamps and sequential indicators. The car gets newly designed alloy wheels, and buyers will have two new exterior colours, Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige.

The company has also made significant changes to the cabin. The facelift has a larger 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 10.15-inch digital driver display. The car comes with a new AI companion based on Google Cloud. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will also be available.

Features include a 360-degree camera and a rear-seat massage function for passengers in the back. The air-conditioning system gets a variable-geometry compressor, which is likely to make cabin temperature control more effective.

There is no major change in the engines. As before, there are two turbo petrol options, 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre. The 1.0-litre TSI engine produces 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or the new 8-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the 6-speed automatic of the older Slavia. The more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine delivers 150hp and 250Nm and comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In the market, the new Slavia facelift will compete directly with popular sedans in the segment, the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City. How far these updates affect the car's final price will become clear after the official launch on October 6.
