Seven new motorcycles expected in October, from a Rs 2 lakh sportbike to a Rs 13 lakh tourer
Seven motorcycles from BMW, Honda, Triumph, Bajaj, Norton, Yamaha and CF Moto are expected in October, with launch dates and prices still unconfirmed.
Seven new motorcycles are expected in the Indian two-wheeler market in October 2026. They range from a sportbike priced at around Rs 2 lakh to a premium adventure tourer costing more than Rs 13 lakh. The bikes are from companies including BMW, Honda, Triumph, Bajaj, Norton, Yamaha and CF Moto. Some could compete directly with models already on sale, so those planning to buy a new bike may do well to wait a few weeks.
First is the BMW F 450 R, a naked streetfighter. The company is set to unveil it worldwide on October 1. It will have the 420cc parallel-twin engine of the F 450 GS, which is expected to make about 47 hp and 43 Nm of torque. The bike will be built at TVS's Hosur plant. The F 450 R is believed to be a more road-oriented version of the F 450 GS.
Second is the Triumph Bonneville 400, which was recently spotted testing in India. It will get a different chassis and swingarm, meaning it will not share a platform entirely with the Speed 400. A 349cc engine is expected for the Indian market, with a tune that could be closer to that of the Speed T4.
Third is an updated Bajaj Pulsar NS125, which could arrive in October. It has been seen at dealerships in near production-ready form. The update is expected to bring a new instrument cluster and new colours. There will be no major change to the engine. The current 124.45cc unit makes about 12 hp, and the updated model is expected to keep the same output.
Fourth is the Norton Atlas, the key middleweight adventure bike on the list. It has a 585cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, producing roughly 69 hp and 57.5 Nm of torque. The bike gets adjustable KYB suspension and a 7.2-inch TFT display. With these features, it can compete in the adventure bike segment.
Fifth is the Honda Rebel 500. Honda's Rebel 300 is already on sale in India, and the company is said to be preparing to bring the larger Rebel 500. It has a 471cc parallel-twin engine producing 46 hp and 43.3 Nm of torque. A notable feature is Honda's clutch-optional E-Clutch technology. There is no official information yet on its price in India.
Sixth is the Yamaha Tenere 700, also expected in India in October. Its likely price is between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. It could give the Indian market an adventure bike with genuine off-road capability. Options in the adventure-tourer segment have been few at this price, so the Yamaha could create new competition.
Seventh is the CF Moto 450SR, which may suit those looking for a sporty bike on a budget. It is expected in India around October 10, with a likely price of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh. Those who want a sporty riding position but do not wish to move into the premium naked-bike segment may like the 450SR.
Going by the likely prices, there is something for almost every kind of buyer. The CF Moto 450SR and some other models will be in the Rs 2 lakh range, while the Yamaha Tenere 700 could cost Rs 13 lakh to Rs 14 lakh. Buyers who prefer naked bikes, adventure tourers, retro motorcycles, commuters or sportier bikes are likely to get new options every month.
All the launch dates and prices are so far only expected. For some models, the official launch announcement or final price has not been fixed. Buyers who have made up their minds to buy a new bike in this segment may wait a few weeks if possible. Once the companies make the launch date, price and features clear, they will be able to compare options according to their budget and needs.
Instead of booking a bike a few weeks before a new model arrives, deciding after the final price and features are known may open up new options for buyers. For those preparing to buy an outgoing model in particular, it will be important to keep an eye on these possible October launches.
