Against the backdrop of the Gokul milk union election, MLA Satej Patil visited several polling centres across Kolhapur district and took stock of the situation there. He alleged that milk producers were being pressured by being made to swear in God's name.
Patil expressed confidence that milk producers would not bow to such threats. He also commented on the differences within the Mahayuti and raised questions about them.
Patil said Gokul is tied to the soil of Kolhapur and the interests of its milk producers. Preserving its existence is therefore his agenda, he said.
He also challenged the Mahayuti leaders to clarify their stand and state that Gokul will not fall into the hands of any outside federation.
Patil also expressed confidence that milk producers would vote and give him a majority. He claimed that "in this election, the politics of saving Gokul will win."
