Political activity in the state appears to have picked up sharply. Elections to the graduates' and teachers' constituencies are under way, and the Opposition has also taken an aggressive stand on the demand for Gyanesh Kumar's resignation. Amid this, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Ambadas Danve made a sharp comment on the friction within the Mahayuti over the graduates' and teachers' constituency elections.
Danve sharply criticised the Mahayuti constituents, the Shiv Sena Shinde faction and the NCP. He said they have to take whatever the BJP gives them. He also targeted the BJP over the tricolour rally of the CJP.
Danve held a meeting in Parbhani to campaign for the Shiv Sena candidate in the Marathwada graduates' constituency. At the press conference that followed, he raised questions with the government on the political stirrings in the Mahayuti as well as on Abhijeet Dipke's tricolour movement.
Speaking on the internal differences in the Mahayuti, Danve questioned the BJP's role. His words were: "The NCP and the Shinde Sena get no respect at all in the state government. They have no freedom to say anything. So the BJP treats them in a way that says take whatever you get."
The NCP is demanding the finance portfolio. Against this backdrop, Danve also commented on state president Sunil Tatkare. He questioned the credibility of Tatkare's political role and said there is no guarantee when he will go over to the BJP.
Citing the "Lehra Do Tiranga" movement of Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, Danve also questioned the government's stance. He asked why it is patriotism if the BJP takes out a tricolour rally, but Abhijeet Dipke is called anti-national when he asks people to march with the tricolour.
Danve alleged that hoisting the tricolour in India was treated as a crime in the days of British rule, and that the same situation has now arisen under BJP rule. He also said the countrymen should be proud of Dipke, who marches with the tricolour.
