Satara district bank polls: 357 nomination forms sold in two days, 25 filed by 22 candidates

Elections to the board of the Satara District Central Cooperative Bank for 2026 to 2031 have drawn a good response, with 357 forms sold so far.

Elections to the board of directors of the Satara District Central Cooperative Bank are being held for the 2026 to 2031 term. The process has begun, and the sale of nomination forms is drawing a good response.

On September 25, 202 forms were sold. A further 155 were sold on September 28, bringing the total sold so far to 357.

On filings, 7 nominations were submitted by 6 candidates on September 25, and 18 by 16 candidates on September 28. So far, 25 nominations from 22 candidates have been filed.

On September 28, Shamrao Laxmanrao Gadhave filed from the Khandala Vikas Seva Sahakari Sanstha and grain bank constituency. From the Phaltan constituency, Shrimant Ramraje Pratapsinh Naik Nimbalkar and Shrimant Sanjeevraje Vijaysinh Naik Nimbalkar filed papers. From the Patan constituency, Satyajit Vikramsinh Patankar and Yasen Vikramsinh Patankar filed nominations.

From the Karad constituency, Udaysinh Vilasrao Patil filed two nominations. In the VJNT reserved category, Shivajirao Shankarrao Shelke Patil and Lahuraj Ganpati Jadhav filed. In the Other Backward Class reserved category, Shankar Ramchandra Malvade and Razzak Abdul Mulani filed.

From the constituency of urban banks, urban cooperative credit societies, rural non-agricultural societies and salaried employees' credit societies, Manoj Bhimrao Ghorpade filed two nominations. In the women's reserved category, Surabhi Madan Bhosale, Shashikala Mugutrao Jadhav (Deshmukh) and Pramila Chandrakant Kadam filed. Vikram Jaysingrao Jadhav filed from the industrial and labour constituency, and Shrimant Ramraje Pratapsinh Naik Nimbalkar from the agricultural processing constituency.

The remaining nominations can be filed between September 29 and October 1, from 11 am to 3 pm. To avoid crowding at the election office, only the candidate or the proposer should go in to submit the nomination papers. Supporters and others accompanying them should not enter the office, the returning officer and the District Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Satara, has appealed. The officer also asked everyone to cooperate so that the election process is completed peacefully and without disruption.
