Samsung has listed two budget smartphones, the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08, on its website as "coming soon"; prices have not been announced.
Samsung has brought two new budget smartphones to the Indian market, the Samsung Galaxy M08 and the Samsung Galaxy F08. Both phones are listed on the company's website with a "coming soon" tag. The company has not yet announced the price of either phone.
The company claims both phones will offer a large battery, a 50-megapixel camera and long-term software updates. Here are the features of the two phones.
Both the Galaxy M08 and the Galaxy F08 have a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels. Each phone weighs just 197 grams and is 8.0mm thick. The phones will carry an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side for security.
Both phones use a MediaTek Helio G99+ octa-core processor, with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.2GHz. They will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB with a microSD card.
For photography, both phones will have dual rear cameras: a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. An 8-megapixel front camera is provided for selfies and video calls. The primary camera supports autofocus and 10x digital zoom. Video can be recorded in Full HD at up to 30fps.
Both phones will have a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. However, a charger will not be included in the box. The phones will run Android 17. Samsung says they will get up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, which means both phones are expected to be supported until 2032.
The phones will also offer features such as Circle to Search, Quick Share, Knox Vault and SmartThings. For connectivity, they offer 4G LTE, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
