Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S12 series in India, priced from Rs 1.29 lakh
Samsung India has announced sales of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+, with the Ultra at 5.1 mm the slimmest Samsung tablet yet, from October 7.

Samsung India has officially announced nationwide sales of its Galaxy Tab S12 series. The consumer electronics company calls it its most powerful and versatile tablet series so far, combining an ultra-thin design, strong performance and Galaxy AI. The tablets come in two colours, grey and silver.
The series has two models, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra (14.6-inch) and the Tab S12+ (12.6-inch). Both have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits. A feature called Vision Booster automatically adjusts brightness in any light. At just 5.1 mm, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung's slimmest tablet to date. The Tab S12+ is 5.3 mm thick.
Both devices have an energy-efficient 3 nm processor. Compared with the previous models, it delivers a 61% faster NPU, a 19% faster CPU and 17% better GPU performance. The battery lasts up to 23 hours on the Ultra and up to 21 hours on the Plus. With a 45-watt adapter, it charges to 100% in just 95 minutes. A new 3D vapour chamber has been provided for effective heat control.
The series runs on Android 17 and One UI 9. Galaxy AI features include Note Assist, Google AI Pro (a six-month trial of Gemini) and Samsung Browser. For professional work, apps such as Adobe Photoshop, GoodNotes (one year free), LumaFusion and Clip Studio Paint are available with special discounts. The devices are rated IP68 for protection against water and dust. Seven years of OS and security updates will also be provided.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra starts at Rs 1,49,999, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ starts at Rs 1,29,999. The Pro Keyboard Cover costs Rs 27,999 for the Ultra and Rs 26,499 for the S12+. Both models come in Wi-Fi and 5G variants, with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB storage options. From October 7, they will be available at Samsung exclusive stores, partner stores, Samsung.com and other online platforms.
Several offers have been announced for buyers. Purchases of Samsung smartphones get a discount of up to Rs 15,000. There is a 15% discount on select wearables and 30% on the Pro Keyboard Cover. A bank cashback or upgrade bonus of up to Rs 5,000 is available. No-cost EMI of up to 24 months is also offered through major bank and NBFC partners.
For the first time for tablets, Samsung has introduced a two-year programme called Galaxy Forever. In this pack, priced at Rs 12,499, customers can buy a tablet by paying 75% of the original price and the programme fee in 24 EMIs. It includes an option to upgrade within 24 months with an assured buyback value of up to 40%. Free Samsung Care+ protection for two years is also included.
