Samsung has launched the Galaxy A18 4G in France at 279 euros, with a 6.7-inch display and six years of promised updates.
Samsung has launched its new budget phone, the Galaxy A18 4G. The phone has been launched in France in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is priced at 279 euros, which comes to about Rs 30,900 in Indian currency. The phone will be available in three colours: black, grey and light blue. The phone's model number is SM-A185G, and it had appeared on Geekbench before launch.
The phone has a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. It comes with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera on the back, along with a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. The front camera for selfies is 13 megapixels.
The phone runs OneUI 9.0 based on Android 17, and Samsung has said it will provide six years of OS and security updates even on this budget phone. It also comes with Gemini AI features.
The phone is powered by Samsung's own Exynos 1610 chipset, an octa-core processor. It has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via memory card. The battery is 5000mAh, with 25W fast charging.
The phone has an IP64 rating for protection against water and dust. It also has Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and a Type-C charging port.
