MLA Rohit Pawar alleges the BJP is trying to sideline Parth Pawar and Sunetra Pawar, and says Ajit Pawar had voiced displeasure to him over some leaders.
Mumbai: A new twist has emerged in Nationalist Congress politics. MLA Rohit Pawar has levelled serious allegations against the BJP over the alleged differences in the Pawar family. He claimed an attempt is under way to isolate Parth Pawar and Sunetra Pawar. Rohit Pawar also said Ajit Pawar had expressed displeasure to him over some leaders.
On the party, Rohit Pawar clarified that the Election Commission has not yet given its final decision on the Nationalist Congress Party. Therefore, he said, his party is the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar).
Referring to the leaders who went to meet Amit Shah, Rohit Pawar said Sharad Pawar had given all of them their opportunity in politics. He said the situation now appears to be that Parth Pawar and Sunetra Pawar are being isolated.
Rohit Pawar made another significant claim. According to him, Ajitdada had told him that, apart from Chhagan Bhujbal and Hasan Mushrif, some leaders were troubling him. Rohit Pawar said he was relaying this on his own.
He also said some party leaders are hoping to get a ministerial post or the finance portfolio again. Rohit Pawar alleged that there is no communication between Parth Pawar and some party leaders, and so efforts are being made to reduce Parth Pawar's control.
Rohit Pawar said the BJP first got the uncle and nephew to quarrel, and is now trying to create differences between two brothers as well. He said this in the context of Jay Pawar having met the Chief Minister a few days ago.
Rohit Pawar also stated his own position. According to him, if anyone leaves the BJP and joins them, there is no reason to oppose that person. But he made it clear that he will oppose those who try to come along without opposing the BJP's policies.
