Redmi is preparing to launch its new K-series phone, the Redmi K100, in China on October 27, 2026. The phone is said to come with a large OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a 50MP primary camera and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Its biggest highlights are said to be 165fps gaming support in more than 40 games and a 10,000mAh battery.

The Redmi K100 is part of the series that includes the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max models. Ahead of the launch, the company has shared some key features of the phone on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. There has been no official announcement on when the phone will come to India after its China launch.

For photography, the Redmi K100 is expected to have a dual rear camera setup. The main camera will be 50MP, with a Light and Shadow Hunter 800 sensor. The sensor measures 1/1.55 inch and has an f/1.68 aperture, which may help more light reach the sensor when shooting in low light. How the camera actually performs will only be known from tests after the phone is launched.

The Redmi K100 will have a 6.83-inch OLED display supporting a 165Hz refresh rate, which should make things look smoother on screen. The display's peak brightness is claimed to be 3,500 nits.

Gaming will be an important part of the phone. Native 165fps gaming support in more than 40 games has been reported. To make the vibration experience during gameplay more effective, the phone will have a 0815 X-axis linear motor. Gaming enthusiasts may therefore like the phone.

On security, the Redmi K100 will have an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which may help unlock the phone even with wet fingers. The phone has also reportedly received an IP68 rating. For better audio it is likely to have symmetrical dual speakers, and a 7-antenna design for network connectivity.

Another major attraction is the 10,000mAh battery, which is said to support 100W fast wired charging. How much battery backup such a large battery delivers will become clear only after real-world use.

On software, the phone is said to run Xiaomi's HyperOS 4, based on Android 17.

The price, availability and other details will be clear after the China launch. No official information has been released on an India launch, so Indian customers will have to wait for the company's official announcement on availability.
