Xiaomi has officially announced that its much-awaited flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Pro, will be launched in India. The company gave a glimpse of the phone at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 in Delhi. The phone is said to reach customers in the next few months.
The phone's biggest highlight is its dual-display design. It has a 6.4-inch screen at the front and a second, smaller 2.7-inch display near the rear camera. The smaller screen is meant to make it easy to view notifications and take selfies. The phone also comes with "Super Pixel Display 2.0" technology for protection.
The Chinese variant has a 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The smaller rear screen is also reported to have a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the company has not yet made clear whether the Indian model will get the same display specifications.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro coming to India will have a processor from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series. Better performance is expected in gaming, multitasking and running heavy apps. The chipset may also support AI-based features. However, the company has not yet shared the exact name of the Indian variant's processor or full details of the rest of the hardware.
The camera could also be a major draw. The Chinese variant has a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 200-megapixel primary camera, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The phone also has a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
On pricing, Xiaomi has announced neither the price nor the launch date of the phone in India. The Xiaomi 18 Pro could be priced between Rs 95,000 and Rs 1,00,000 in India. In China the phone starts at 5,999 yuan, which works out to about Rs 86,000.
