Redmi 17C 5G launched in India with 6,000mAh battery and 6.9-inch display, priced from Rs 20,999
Redmi has launched the budget 5G phone in two variants, priced at Rs 20,999 and Rs 22,999, with sales starting on October 7.
Redmi has launched another budget-friendly 5G smartphone in India. Called the Redmi 17C 5G, it joins the company's line-up alongside the recently launched Redmi 17 5G. The phone is available in three colours.
It comes in two variants. The 4GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 20,999, while the 6GB+128GB variant costs Rs 22,999. Sales in India begin on October 7 on Amazon and Xiaomi's online store. Buyers can choose from Coffee Brew, Dark Night and Purple Dawn.
The phone has a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and brightness of up to 810 nits in high brightness mode. The touch sampling rate is up to 240Hz. The screen offers 16.7 million colours and 83 per cent NTSC coverage. Low blue light, circadian-friendly and flicker-free features are also included.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with a peak clock speed of up to 2.4GHz, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. Virtual RAM support lets the memory be extended by up to 6GB. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is provided for security.
For photography, the phone has a single 50-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, and it can record video at up to 1080p at 30 fps. The front has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The phone has a 6,000mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging. Connectivity includes 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, a USB Type-C port, and GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou support.
