Rajesh Mapuskar to return with 'Ventilator 2' a decade after the Kamerkar family's first outing

Ten years ago, the Kamerkar family, gathered for Ganeshotsav, made audiences laugh and cry and showed the many shades of relationships. Now the story of that family is set to continue. 'Ventilator 2', the sequel to the National Award-winning film 'Ventilator', will reach audiences soon. Purple Pebble Pictures and Maggie's Pictures have announced the film recently.

The first film is set in a hospital compound. Its characters, their temperaments, their funny exchanges and emotional moments were especially memorable for viewers. Director Rajesh Mapuskar has now begun preparations to carry the story forward.

The film has been announced in a playful manner. The announcement says: "All the same Kamerkars, once again after 10 years... some have gone, some have stayed... those who went are laughing, and those who stayed...!" It also carries the tagline "Lo re lo sab lo...". The tagline has given the announcement a distinct flavour. Audiences are now curious about what the story will be this time, and whether the warmth of relationships, the family's banter and the emotional moments of the first film will be seen again.

'Ventilator 2' is produced by Purple Pebble Pictures and Maggie's Pictures. The film is written and directed by Rajesh Mapuskar. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Dr Madhu Chopra and Rajesh Mapuskar are its producers. Shooting is set to begin soon, and the first glimpse of this new chapter has already been shared with audiences.
