Stories and characters from the Mahabharata continue to hold a special place among audiences. The epic has already inspired several television serials and films over the years. Now the story of another key character from the Mahabharata is set to come to the big screen. South actor Raghava Lawrence will soon play Karna in a film titled Mahaveer Karna.

The film is based on the life of Karna and will depict his valour, loyalty, generosity and sacrifice, bringing these aspects of his life to the screen.

The film is being produced by Ramesh Varma. Raghava Lawrence and Ramesh Varma have previously worked together on the project Kaal Bhairava. The two have now come together again for Mahaveer Karna.

Mahaveer Karna will release in five languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, making it a pan-India release. According to the information available, the film will release in 2027.
