Adam Milne returns from injury as New Zealand pick their squad for the five-match T20 series against India
The five-match T20 series between India and New Zealand begins on October 22, and New Zealand Cricket has announced its squad for it. The Indian team will tour New Zealand for the series. Star player Rachin Ravindra is out of the entire series due to injury, while fast bowler Adam Milne has returned to the team.
New Zealand have named a 16-member squad for the T20 series, to be led by Mitchell Santner. The squad includes 13 players who have played in the T20 World Cup. Spin allrounder Michael Bracewell and fast bowler Adam Milne have returned to the side after recovering from injury. Star player Rachin Ravindra and fast bowler Ben Sears will not be able to take part in this series due to injury. Bevon Jacobs has been given a place in the squad as a middle-order batting option. Jacobs has played 11 T20 Internationals so far, and scored an unbeaten 62 in his last match, against Bangladesh.
Fast bowler Adam Milne will play his first T20 International in nearly a year. A strong pace attack has been assembled for the five-match T20 series, including bowlers such as Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Jacob Duffy, Zak Foulkes and Nathan Smith. Meanwhile, Ben Sears is out of the series due to an ankle injury. Milne last played a T20 International in July 2025, against South Africa.
The first match of the T20 series between India and New Zealand will be played in Christchurch on October 22, and the second match at the same venue on October 24. The third match will be played in Wellington on October 27, the fourth in Auckland on October 30, and the final T20 match in Hamilton on November 1. After the T20 series ends, a five-match ODI series between the two teams will begin from November 4.
