NLC India invites applications for 143 graduate engineer trainee posts, Rs 50,000 monthly in training

NLC India Limited, a Government of India company with Navratna status, has invited applications for Graduate Executive Trainee (GET) posts. A total of 143 posts will be filled, in mechanical, electrical, civil and mining engineering.

The application process is entirely online. Online applications open on November 13, 2026, and can be submitted until December 14, 2026. Postings will be in various units and projects of NLCIL across India.

Candidates must hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering branch and must have qualified in GATE 2025. There is also a minimum marks requirement in the degree: 60 per cent for the UR, EWS and OBC-NCL categories, and 50 per cent for the SC and ST categories. Candidates should check the eligibility and other conditions given branch-wise in the official advertisement before applying.

Age will be reckoned as on November 1, 2026. The upper age limit may be 30, 33 or 35 years depending on the category, so each candidate should check the limit for their category in the official notification.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their GATE 2025 scores and a personal interview. Both an engineering degree and GATE qualification are therefore required.

Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs 50,000 a month during one year of training. After training, the annual CTC could be about Rs 14.50 lakh. Candidates must also fulfil a service agreement bond of Rs 3 lakh during training, as per the service agreement. Full details of these terms are in the notification.

The application fee varies by category. Candidates in the UR, EWS and OBC-NCL categories must pay Rs 854, while the fee for SC, ST and PwBD candidates is Rs 354.

After reading the eligibility, branch, age limit and fee details, they should fill in the online form and submit the required information. The fee should be paid where applicable, and a copy of the application kept.

The last date is December 14, 2026, and eligible candidates should complete their applications in time.
