New Maruti Brezza bookings cross 95,000 as company's pending orders top 2 lakh
Maruti has raised monthly production from 50,000 to 56,000 vehicles as demand for the newly launched Brezza outstrips supply.
Maruti recently launched the new Brezza, and the vehicle has become a talking point in the Indian market since its launch. Buyers are queuing outside showrooms to book it.
According to information provided by the company, pending bookings across all Maruti vehicles crossed 2 lakh as of October 1, 2026. The Brezza accounts for the largest share, with bookings of 95,000.
The booking data shows customers are leaning most towards the CNG and turbo petrol models. Of all bookings, 40 per cent are for the CNG model and 38 per cent for the turbo petrol variant, while only 22 per cent chose the plain 1.5-litre petrol engine.
This indicates that buyers now want a vehicle that offers both high mileage and power. CNG saves on petrol costs, while the turbo engine gives the vehicle strong pickup. That is why buyers prefer these two variants.
More than 15,000 Brezzas were sold in September alone. Demand has grown so much that the company has found it difficult to supply vehicles, so Maruti has taken the major decision to raise its monthly production. It earlier built 50,000 vehicles a month and will now build 56,000, so that customers do not have to wait long for a vehicle.
The biggest reasons for buying the Brezza are its mileage and price. The company says the Brezza CNG runs 26.9 km on a kilogram, while the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivers 20.47 km per litre.
The new Brezza starts at Rs 7.5 lakh, and the top model is priced at Rs 13.70 lakh ex-showroom.
The recently launched Baleno facelift is also selling briskly, with 25,000 units sold in its first month. With low prices, high mileage and plenty of features, the Brezza has become a customer favourite.
