Nagpur city police have invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against the accused in the murder of 18-year-old Pawan Suryavanshi, which took place within the Hudkeshwar police station premises. Pawan was killed in a feud that began over a minor vehicle dispute.
Ten accused are in jail, while two are still absconding. Yash Dilip Londe, the alleged leader of the gang, has seven serious cases registered against him, including murder.
On July 25, 2026, Pawan Suryavanshi and the accused had an argument after a vehicle was cut off. Over the same dispute, Pawan and his friends were called to the Manewada cremation ground on the pretext of talks. Instead of a settlement, Pawan Suryavanshi was attacked with weapons and killed, while his 17-year-old friend Aman Ajay Kale was injured.
Hudkeshwar police have arrested 10 accused in the case, and all of them are currently in jail. Yash Raju Gomase and Aman Dhanraj Chaurasia are still absconding.
The gang's leader, Yash Dilip Londe, faces seven serious cases, including murder, attempt to murder, theft, preparation for dacoity, assault, illegal possession of arms and threats to kill. Police claim a total of 11 serious offences are registered against the gang as a whole.
