Three hit-and-run accidents in Nagpur within 24 hours killed three men working at private companies; police are searching for the unidentified drivers.

Hit-and-run cases have been rising in Nagpur city in recent days, with unidentified drivers killing people in collisions. In a fresh instance, three separate hit-and-run cases came to light within just 24 hours in the city, killing three men who worked at private companies. Two of the accidents occurred in the MIDC police station area, while the third occurred under the jurisdiction of Pardi police station. Nagpur police have registered cases against unidentified drivers in all three incidents and begun investigations.

The first accident took place near the Rajivnagar bus stop on Hingna Road, within the MIDC police station area. The deceased was identified as Mukesh Rupchand Kansare (30), a resident of Lalbarra, Balaghat, who worked at a private company in MIDC. Around 10.15 pm on Monday night, beat marshals from MIDC police station were on patrol when they found Mukesh lying injured in front of Royal Hotel. He was immediately taken to AIIMS hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead on examination. The investigation found that an unidentified driver had hit him. Police informed the deceased's family and registered a case based on a complaint by his relative, Shailendra Basene.

The second accident also occurred on Monday night, near Pagaria Building on the Nagpur-Jabalpur Outer Ring Road, within the Pardi police station area. The deceased was identified as Pradyuman Singh Hiralal Singh (26), a resident of Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh. He worked at and lived in CM Cold Storage in the Dhargaon area of Kalamna. Around 9.30 pm, he was travelling on his motorcycle along the Outer Ring Road towards his workplace when an unidentified four-wheeler driver hit him near Pagaria Building and fled the scene. Pradyuman was taken to Mayo Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead. Police registered a case based on a complaint by his colleague, Pawan Singh Chauhan.

The third accident took place around 9.30 am on Tuesday on Central MIDC Road, as a man was on his way to work as usual. The deceased was identified as Ejazuddin Amanuddin Kazi (40), a resident of Baghdadinagar, Jhingabai Takli, who worked at Fybromax company in Hingna MIDC. He was riding his motorcycle, registration number MH.40-AN.9971, when an unidentified driver hit him in front of the Mahindra showroom on Central Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Road and fled. Nearby residents alerted the police. Ejaz was taken to the nearest hospital, but doctors declared him dead after examination. Police registered a case against the unidentified driver based on a complaint by his brother-in-law, Ehfaz Khan. Police are still searching for the unidentified drivers in all three cases.
