The 11th Ayurveda Day was marked in India and across the world on Tuesday. A major national event was held in Nagpur on the occasion. This year's Ayurveda Day theme was "Ayurveda for a disease-free future".

A message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi was read out at the event. In the message, the Prime Minister said that Ayurveda's journey from traditional knowledge to scientific evidence and new innovation would play an important role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of future generations.

The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav through video conferencing. Also present on the occasion were Ayush Ministry Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Director General of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences Prof. Vaidya Rabinarayan Acharya, and several well-known figures from various fields.

The event also saw the launch of the "Ayush Vision 2030", a report on the Ayush service sector, a research report related to Ayurveda, and the CCRAS-AGNI web portal. Safety documents on substances called Gokshura and Chandrasura were also released, along with standard guidelines for the treatment of skin diseases.

Ayush Ministry Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said that the future of Ayurveda is linked to scientific evidence, research, innovation, quality, safety and standardisation. The national event in Nagpur was attended by Ayurveda doctors, researchers, scientists and people from the world of education from across the country.
