Three youths allegedly hit Kishor Khanorkar with a cement block at Besa after he asked them not to throw a burning sutli bomb; police have registered a case.
A 51-year-old man in Nagpur was attacked after he asked some youths not to throw a lit sutli bomb at him. Three angry youths hit him with a cement block and injured him. He was sitting with a friend at the time.
The incident took place on Pipla Road, under the Hudkeshwar police station limits. Kishor Khanorkar, a resident of Dighori, was sitting in front of a tyre shop in the Besa area on the afternoon of November 4, smoking a cigarette. His friend was sitting there with him.
Three youths who arrived there lit a sutli bomb and threw the burning bomb towards Khanorkar. Khanorkar told them plainly not to throw a bomb like that.
On hearing this, all three youths flew into a rage. They began an argument, telling Khanorkar and his friend not to sit there. The argument soon turned violent, and the accused attacked Khanorkar with a cement block and injured him.
After the incident, Khanorkar went to the Hudkeshwar police station and lodged a complaint. On that basis, police have registered a case of assault against all three accused and begun further investigation.
Police are now searching for the accused.
