Driving a car in Nagpur means regular washing is unavoidable, a task that costs both time and money. A city inventor now claims to have a solution.

Vikas Jagjivan Patel, an independent inventor from Nagpur, says he has developed a new automated technology for the exterior cleaning, washing and drying of vehicles. He has filed a patent application for the technology.

Patel says the technology is called the "Vehicle External Cleaning Mechanism with Automatic Air Dry System". He claims it can be fitted inside the vehicle itself, becoming part of the car. At the press of a single button, the car's exterior surface is cleaned, washed and then dried automatically, with the entire process completing on its own.

The inventor says the system was designed to save car owners time and cut the long-term cost of repeated car washes.

Patel says the automatic cleaning system can remove dust and dirt completely without damaging the car's body. The air-dry technology built into it dries the surface fully immediately after washing, so the car is left without water stains or spots.

According to Patel, the biggest feature of the technology is that car owners can quickly clean their vehicle anywhere, anytime, just by pressing a button.

The system is also said to use significantly less water than conventional car-washing methods. Special nozzles fitted in it use water carefully to avoid wastage.

Vikas Jagjivan Patel says he plans to soon hold talks with automobile companies to bring the technology to commercial scale, so that ordinary car owners can also access the facility easily.
