A 25-year-old lawyer interning in Nagpur was found hanging in his rented room in Futala, with a suicide note asking his parents' forgiveness.
A 25-year-old lawyer was found dead by hanging in his room in the Futala area of Nagpur. The deceased has been identified as Dada Niyojit Kinkar, a resident of New Futala. The case falls under the Ambazari police station area.
Dada originally belonged to Patanji village in Yavatmal district. After completing his law studies, he had moved to Nagpur, where he was interning with a senior lawyer. In Nagpur, he lived on rent in a house belonging to Laxmi Bhalavi in the Futala area.
According to information received by police, Dada spoke to his family on the phone every day. On Wednesday, when his call did not come, his family tried to contact him. Despite calling several times, he did not answer, which struck them as unusual since this had never happened before. They then spoke to his landlady.
The landlady knocked on the door of Dada's room, but there was no response from inside. When the door would not open, she looked through the window and saw Dada's body hanging from a noose. Police were called immediately.
On receiving information, Ambazari police reached the spot and carried out a panchnama of the scene. The body was sent for post-mortem. During a search of the room, police also found a suicide note, which has been seized.
According to police, in the suicide note Dada wrote that no one should be held responsible for his death. He asked his parents for forgiveness for not being able to stay with them, and also wrote asking that his sister be looked after.
It is not yet clear why Dada took this step. Ambazari police have registered a case of accidental death and begun an investigation.
