Mumbai University holds student-Vice-Chancellor interaction, pending mark sheet issued on the spot
At the University of Mumbai's 'Vidyarthi-Kulguru Samvad', a student's pending fifth-semester mark sheet was handed over and another student's eligibility case was heard immediately.
The University of Mumbai held a 'Student-Vice-Chancellor Dialogue' so that students' academic and administrative difficulties could be heard directly and resolved quickly.
At the event, held under 'NEP Connect', students placed their various problems directly before the university administration. In some cases, immediate steps were taken to give students relief.
Anurag Chaurasia, a student of Somaiya College, had a pending fifth-semester mark sheet. It was prepared and handed over to him, so his problem was resolved at the dialogue itself.
Another student's eligibility case was heard immediately, and the process of declaring the result was started. This case too was handled at the event.
Students told the administration about both academic and administrative difficulties. The officials concerned took note of each case and stressed doing whatever action was required. The dialogue thus proved important in taking students' problems directly to the administration.
The event was held in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni. Pro Vice-Chancellor Principal Dr Ajay Bhamre, Registrar Dr Prasad Karande, Director of the Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Pooja Raundale and officials of various departments were present.
The administration said it was trying to make the university's services faster, more transparent and more beneficial to students, keeping in mind their suggestions and feedback.
