The University of Mumbai's Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has extended, for the last time, the online admission process for its graduate and postgraduate courses. Students can now apply till October 10, 2026.

Students who meet the minimum eligibility are being offered direct admission to all graduate and postgraduate courses run by the centre. The same direct route is open to students who did not get admission to a regular college. The CDOE's main aims are flexibility in study, affordable fees and courses recognised by the UGC (DEB) and AICTE.

At the graduate level, the BA offers subjects such as history, political science, sociology, economics, geography, rural development, Marathi, Hindi and English. Also on offer are BCom (commerce, accountancy and business management), BCom (accounts and finance), BSc (information technology) and BSc (computer science). Admissions to all these courses are being made in line with the National Education Policy.

At the postgraduate level, the MA subjects are history, sociology, economics, political science, Marathi, Hindi, English, geography, education, communication and journalism, and public relations. MCom has advanced accountancy and business management, while MSc has mathematics, information technology and computer science. MMS and MCA are also offered.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) and the Diploma in School Management (DSM) are also on the list. These postgraduate admissions too are being made in line with the National Education Policy. The centre also offers a double-degree option.

MMS (Master of Management Studies) and MCA (Master of Computer Application) are two-year courses. Their admission process has begun. Students who have cleared the entrance process for these courses are being sent an online payment link by the CDOE to pay their fees. They can pay within the stipulated time and confirm their admission. The list of students who passed the online entrance test has been published on the CDOE website.

The MA sociology course was started in online mode from the last academic year. The Diploma in School Management (DSM) has started online from this academic year. The feature of these courses is that the entire process, from admission to examination, will be online.

Online admission to all graduate and postgraduate courses can be made at the website https://mucdoeadm.samarth.edu.in/. Full details on admissions are available on the university's website, https://cdoe.uom.edu.in.

The CDOE has regional centres at Churchgate, Thane, Kalyan, Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi and Palghar. Guidance on admissions is given and study material is distributed at these centres. Director Prof Shivaji Sargar has appealed to all students concerned to complete the admission process within the stipulated time.
