The two MPs raised train stops, a maintenance facility at Gondia, farmer compensation and Amrit Bharat status for Tirora station with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

New Delhi/Gondia: MPs Praful Patel and Rajendra Jain met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The meeting discussed in detail several important issues concerning rail facilities in Gondia and Bhandara districts and the surrounding region.

During the meeting, Jain also handed the Railway Minister important letters on the region's rail problems, new facilities and passengers' needs.

The issue of train stops was raised first. A demand was made to start a Gondia-Mumbai Vande Bharat train. A demand to stop the Intercity Express at Salekasa railway station was also placed. The demand for stops for essential trains at Bhandara, Tumsar, Tirora, Amgaon and Salekasa was raised prominently, so that local passengers, students, traders and ordinary citizens get better rail facilities.

The development of a railway maintenance facility at Gondia was also discussed in detail.

The issue of farmers and landowners was also raised. A demand was made that farmers and landowners be given fair and just compensation for the land being acquired for rail lines and other railway projects.

Another important demand placed before the Railway Minister was that Tirora railway station be included in the Amrit Bharat scheme.
