Ajni police in Nagpur reached the spot within just three minutes of a call to the police control room's 112 helpline and rescued a young man who was allegedly being attacked with a knife. A serious crime was averted as a result.

The incident took place in Sant Kabir Nagar, which falls under the Ajni police station area. Police arrested the accused shortly after reaching the spot.

According to police, the control room received information at around 11:15 pm that a man was allegedly being attacked with a knife on Sant Kabir Marg in Sant Kabir Nagar. On receiving the alert, Ajni police beat marshals set out immediately and reached the spot in about three minutes.

The police team found the complainant, Mukul Dhapode, at the spot. Police first ensured his safety and then began searching for the accused.

Mukul told police, it has been said, that Shahbaz Azim Khan, who lives in the same area, threatened him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone and cash.
