Mixed weather likely in Maharashtra for three days, scattered rain in Konkan and Central Maharashtra

Maharashtra's weather continues to fluctuate. People in some parts of the state are troubled by hot and humid conditions, while rain has been forecast in some districts. According to the weather department's forecast, the weather in the state is likely to remain mixed for the next few days.

On October 22, hot and humid weather is very likely at some places in the districts of north Konkan, and people may have to contend with the humidity. In contrast, light rain or thundershowers are forecast at isolated places in the districts of south Konkan-Goa and south central Maharashtra. The skies are likely to remain mostly clear in the districts of north Konkan, north central Maharashtra and Marathwada.

On October 23, too, rain is forecast at isolated places in south Konkan-Goa and south central Maharashtra. The skies will remain clear in north Konkan, north central Maharashtra and Marathwada.

The weather department has also given information on temperatures. Over the next two days, the maximum temperature in Maharashtra is expected to rise gradually by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. After that, no major change in the maximum temperature is likely. The department has said there will be no major change in the minimum temperature in the Maharashtra region over the next 4 to 5 days either. In neighbouring Gujarat, too, the maximum temperature will remain steady for the next 4 to 5 days.

Region-wise, on October 22 rain is likely at isolated places in Konkan, with hot and humid weather at some places. Central Maharashtra may see rain at isolated places. Marathwada and Vidarbha are likely to stay dry.

On October 23, rain is likely at isolated places in both Konkan and Central Maharashtra, while Marathwada and Vidarbha will stay dry.

On October 24, the weather is forecast to be dry in all four regions: Konkan, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha.
