Although the monsoon is in its final phase, the weather is still shifting. According to the latest forecast by the weather department, different parts of Maharashtra will see varied conditions over the next few days.

Scattered rain may continue, particularly in the districts of Konkan-Goa and Central Maharashtra. Thunder, lightning and strong winds are also likely in some places. Farmers and the general public have been advised to stay alert.

On October 1, light to moderate rain has been forecast in select areas of Konkan-Goa and Central Maharashtra. Winds of 40 to 50 km per hour may blow, with lightning in the sky. The weather can change suddenly, and people have been urged to take proper precautions.

The region-wise forecast for October 1 is scattered rain in Konkan and Central Maharashtra, while Marathwada and Vidarbha are likely to stay dry. The same picture has been forecast for October 2, 3 and 4. On all three days, Konkan and Central Maharashtra will see scattered rain, while Marathwada and Vidarbha will remain dry.

October 5 and 6 will bring a slight difference. On both days, scattered rain is likely to continue in Konkan and Central Maharashtra. Marathwada is expected to stay dry, but Vidarbha may now see scattered rain.

An advisory has also been issued for farmers and the public. Given the likelihood of rain with lightning in Konkan and Central Maharashtra, farmers should cover their produce and keep it in a safe place. When strong winds are blowing, people should avoid standing under trees or in any unsafe spot.

No major change in temperature is expected from these shifts in the weather. Even so, humid conditions may persist in some areas.
