Demand for Maruti Suzuki vehicles is strong ahead of the festive season. As of October 1, 2026, the company had more than 2 lakh bookings pending. With demand rising, the dealer network is left with only 17 days of stock. To deliver to customers on time, the company has now decided to increase production.

The new Brezza (Brezza 2026) is the most talked-about model in this surge. The compact SUV has received more than 95,000 bookings so far, and the figure is likely to cross 1 lakh in a day or two. In September, the company sold more than 15,000 units of the Brezza.

To meet demand, production has been raised at the Kharkhoda plant in Haryana. As a result, the company's monthly SUV supply capacity has gone up from 50,000 to 56,000 units.

Two major changes in the new Brezza are drawing a good response from customers. One is a new 1000 cc turbo petrol engine option. The other is an underbody CNG tank, which gives CNG customers more boot space than before.

In the booking figures, the CNG version leads with a 40 per cent share. The turbo petrol version accounts for 38 per cent and the 1.5-litre petrol version for 22 per cent.

On mileage, the Brezza CNG is claimed to deliver 26.9 km per kg, while the turbo petrol engine delivers 20.47 km per litre. The ex-showroom price of the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza starts at Rs 7.50 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.70 lakh for the top model.

It is not only the Brezza. Maruti's updated Baleno is also ahead, with sales of about 25,000 units in its first month. This shows that demand for small cars and sedans remains steady.

In September 2026, Maruti sold a total of 2,36,013 units. This includes total domestic sales of 1,91,794 units and more than 44,211 cars exported. Demand in overseas markets is also good. Between April and September, the company's exports have reached 2.32 lakh. Delivering vehicles to customers on time against the rising bookings will now be the company's biggest challenge.
