Mahhi Vij breaks down over single mother's struggle on Bigg Boss 20; Jay Bhanushali backs her

Actress Mahhi Vij and actor Jay Bhanushali remain in the news after their divorce. The two officially announced it in January. Having separated after about 14 years of marriage, they are still good friends and are co-parenting their children. Mahhi is currently seen as a contestant on Bigg Boss 20.

In a recent episode, Mahhi was seen crying inconsolably as she recalled her struggle as a single mother. She also spoke once again about her decision not to take any alimony from her former husband. Mahhi said judges had advised her to rethink the decision, but she did not follow the advice because she knew how hard Jay had worked to earn it all. After her emotional moment, Jay shared a post in her support.

Jay shared a story on Instagram in which he wrote, "Mahhi, stay strong. We both know that in difficult times we have always stood by each other. Money has never been a question between us and never will be. You and Tara will be my responsibility all your lives. The bond of marriage can never change my love and respect for you both. I am always with you."

In a recently telecast episode of Bigg Boss 20, Mahhi was seen talking to Asif Khan and Young DSA after a quarrel with Arishfa Khan. During this conversation, Mahhi broke down on missing her daughter Tara. She said, "Arishfa is a liar. I want to talk to her the way I talk to my daughter Tara. But she is very rude. I regret what I said to her that day." Mahhi also said she is a single mother and only she knows how she manages every day. According to her, Jay has always supported her and always told her to go out and have fun.

On her decision not to take alimony, Mahhi went on to say, "I spend the whole day with Tara. My whole life revolves around my daughter. I did not take alimony because I have to look after my daughter's future myself. I do not even ask Jay for money, because I know how hard he worked to earn it."

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij married in 2019 and have three children. They had Tara in 2012 and in 2017 the two adopted Rajveer and Khushi.
