Maharashtra board releases likely dates for Class 10 and 12 exams in 2027, giving students months to plan preparation.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has released the likely timetable for the Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) board exams to be held in February-March 2027. This will give students considerable time to plan their studies, practice and prepare before the exams. The exams will be conducted through the state's 9 divisional boards: Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan.
The Class 12 (Higher Secondary Certificate, HSC) written exams will begin on Monday, February 8, 2027, and continue till Tuesday, March 16, 2027. Class 12 students will now need to draw up a subject-wise timetable to speed up their preparation. Before the written exams begin, practicals, grade assessments, orals and internal assessments will be held between Wednesday, January 20, and Saturday, February 6, 2027.
The Class 10 (SSC) written exams will begin on Monday, February 15, 2027, and end on Thursday, March 11, 2027. With these dates out, Class 10 students too will find it easier to plan their studies. Their practicals, grade assessments, orals and internal assessments will be held between Thursday, January 28, and Saturday, February 13, 2027, meaning all of these will be completed before the written exams start.
As mentioned, the exams will be conducted only through the Maharashtra State Board's 9 divisional boards of Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan. Lakhs of students across the state sit for this exam, which is why these dates are being given special importance.
So far, the board has released only the dates related to the duration of the exams. The detailed subject-wise timetable will be uploaded later on the official website of the respective divisional board. Students are therefore advised to check only the official timetable issued by the board, rather than relying on timetables circulating on social media or other unofficial sources.
With the board exam dates out, students can now work on completing their remaining syllabus, solving old question papers, practicing writing answers and devoting extra time to difficult subjects. Proper planning of the remaining time will be important to keep stress low during the exams and ensure preparation goes well.
In all, the Class 12 written exams will be held between February 8 and March 16, 2027, and the Class 10 written exams between February 15 and March 11, 2027. Students are now awaiting the detailed subject-wise timetable.
