London event honours Sadguru Dr Mangeshda with Ambedkar international award
Sadguru Dr Mangeshda received the World Leader Dr B. R. Ambedkar International Award 2026 at a ceremony in London.
Sadguru Yogiraj Dr Mangeshda was honoured with the World Leader Dr B. R. Ambedkar International Award 2026 at a grand ceremony held recently in London. Dr Mangeshda, founder of the Sadguru Mangeshda Kriya Yoga Foundation, received the award for his distinctive work in social service.
The ceremony also honoured several other well known figures from around the world. Guests at the event included World Leader Techmedia director Shirish B. Ramteke, Mayfair Baron and member of the UK Parliament's House of Lords, Lord Rami Ranger, British-Indian businessman and social worker Dr Krishna Pujara, former MLA Vijaybhai Girkar, and Padma Shri Dr Kalpana Saroj.
Accepting the award, Dr Mangeshda said that the dream of the great Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, that of unity and oneness, can only be fulfilled if everyone continues this journey together. He also thanked the organisers of the event.
Dr Mangeshda has for several decades been engaged in research on Kriya Yoga, examining yoga science from a scientific perspective and spreading yoga. He has worked to take yoga science to people ranging from children to the elderly, while also spreading a message of humanity, selfless love and forgiveness through various socially useful programmes.
His work has previously been honoured with several national and international awards. In Mauritius he received the prestigious international award "Yog Shiromani". In Bali, Indonesia, he received the Global Indian Achiever Award. He has also received the A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Award, the Mahatma Gandhi Ahimsa Samman at the House of Commons in London, the Indo-Vietnam Award, the Yog Ratna Puraskar and the International Iconic Award, among other honours. He is also involved in raising awareness about eye donation after death through the "I Pledge, We Pledge" campaign.
The World Leader Dr B. R. Ambedkar International Award 2026 is being seen as another significant milestone in his long record of social service, yoga promotion and work for human welfare.
