With the arrival of Ganpati Bappa, there is a festive atmosphere across the state and the country. Hibiscus flowers are commonly offered during the puja, but once the puja ends, many flowers are often left over. Many people do not know what to do with these leftover flowers and end up throwing them away. However, hibiscus flowers are considered beneficial not just for puja but also for hair. So instead of discarding leftover flowers, it is better to use them to improve poor hair quality. A natural conditioner can be made from hibiscus flowers that helps keep hair soft.

Changes in weather, mental stress, nutrient deficiency and repeated use of chemical hair care products degrade hair quality over time. Hair becomes very dry and lifeless. Besides this, problems like dandruff, hair fall and hair breakage increase, which stops hair growth. That is why natural ingredients should always be used instead of chemical products to improve hair quality, making hair softer and shinier.

To make a natural hair conditioner from hibiscus flowers, only a few things are needed: hibiscus flowers, fenugreek seeds, hibiscus leaves, flax seeds and water. All of these are easily available in the kitchen. To make the conditioner, first wash the hibiscus flowers and leaves thoroughly two to three times with water. Then soak the cleaned flowers and leaves together with the fenugreek seeds and flax seeds in a bowl. Soaking them overnight allows the extract of the flowers to release into the water. The next day, gently press the mixture and strain it into a vessel, then heat it on the stove. After it comes to a boil, let it simmer on low heat for five to seven minutes, then turn off the gas.

The mixture should be strained only once it has thickened. This conditioner made from hibiscus flowers can be stored in an airtight glass container, which keeps it from spoiling quickly. After washing hair with shampoo, apply the prepared conditioner to the hair, massage it gently, leave it on for two minutes, and then rinse the hair again with water. Hibiscus flowers contain amino acids, antioxidants and vitamins, which help keep hair naturally smooth and shiny.
