Stolen crusher machine found in Yavatmal's Maregaon, suspect detained by Korpana police
Korpana police traced a crusher machine stolen from under a flyover to a fabrication workshop in Maregaon, Yavatmal district, and detained a suspect.
Korpana police have traced a crusher machine that was stolen from under a flyover. The machine was seized from Maregaon in Yavatmal district. One suspect has been detained in the case and the goods were recovered from the person. According to the police, the man who stole the machine is a habitual offender.
According to information from police sources, the complainant's crusher machine had broken down. The complainant took it to Raj Workshop in Korpana for repairs. The workshop owner was going to their village and asked the complainant to come back after fifteen days. The complainant did not take the machine back home and left it in an open space under the flyover in front of the workshop.
After finishing farm work, the complainant went to check on the machine and found it missing from under the flyover. The complainant searched everywhere but could not find it, and then filed a complaint at Korpana police station.
On the basis of the complaint, Korpana police registered a case under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and stepped up the investigation. The probe was assigned to Police Constable Rakesh Wakulkar under the guidance of station house officer and Police Inspector Lata Wadhiwe.
During the investigation, a confidential informant gave the police reliable information that the stolen crusher machine was in Maregaon in Yavatmal district. On this tip, a Korpana police team left immediately for Maregaon. The police raided the Jaikishan Fabrication Workshop there and found the stolen machine. As per legal procedure, an e-Sakshya panchnama was drawn up, the proceedings were video-recorded on a mobile phone, and the machine was then seized.
During the operation, the suspect was detained and brought to the police station. Further legal action is under way.
The action was carried out under the guidance of Chandrapur Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopani, Additional Superintendent of Police Ishwar Katkade and Gadchandur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Ravindra Jadhav. Korpana police said they are keeping a close watch on people with criminal tendencies in the area and that the police administration is committed to the safety of citizens.
