Students noticed movement near a window during class at the CRPF camp school; a snake rescuer caught the venomous snake and released it in a forest.
A Russell's viper was found in a classroom of the Kendriya Vidyalaya in the CRPF camp area at Hingna in Nagpur on Monday morning.
At around 9.30 am, while a class was in progress, children sensed movement near a window and informed the teacher. When the teacher went to the window, a large snake was seen. The teachers immediately informed snake rescuer Akash Meshram.
Meshram reached the school and safely rescued the snake. It turned out to be a Russell's viper, a species considered extremely venomous. Its bite could have been fatal. The snake was caught and released in a forest, after which the children and teachers were able to breathe easy.
