Jio has introduced four recharge plans offering only calls and SMS for subscribers who do not need mobile data, with the cheapest priced at Rs 147.

Jio has launched four new voice-only recharge plans for customers who do not need mobile data. The plans offer only calling and SMS, and no data.

Airtel and Vodafone Idea have already brought out such plans. The country's large telecom company has now followed the same path. It has been stated that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had directed telecom companies to issue voice-only plans, and the companies have come out with these plans following those directions.

The cheapest plan costs Rs 147 and is valid for 22 days. It offers unlimited calling and 300 SMS. Users will spend Rs 6.68 a day on it.

The second plan costs Rs 177 and is valid for 28 days. It also offers unlimited calling and 300 SMS. The daily cost works out to Rs 6.32.

The third plan is priced at Rs 196. It offers unlimited calls and 300 SMS, with a validity of 30 days. Users will spend Rs 6.53 a day on it.

The fourth plan costs Rs 197 and is valid for a full month. It also offers unlimited calls and 300 SMS. Its daily cost is not fixed, as it varies with the number of days in the month for which the recharge is done.

Besides these new plans, the company also offers plans of Rs 448 and Rs 1,748, with validity of 84 days and 336 days respectively. The company has introduced these voice-only plans for users who do not want the benefit of data.

For those looking for a plan costing less than Rs 200, Jio's Rs 189 plan is also an option. It is valid for 28 days and comes with unlimited voice calls, 300 SMS and 2GB of data. The plan also carries JioTV and JioAICloud benefits.
